Text Dads: An Innovative Way to Engage with Undergraduates

When Indiana Delta returned to DePauw’s campus in 2019, Alumni Advisors Jim Mullen ‘83 and Lance DeNardin ‘86 knew they needed to find an innovative way to engage new members with their valued alumni. Jim and Lance knew that Indiana Delta had a talented pool of alumni to mentor the young men committing themselves to SAE. They just needed to find a way to match active brothers with men they could look up to and gain personal and professional advice from. This need drove them to create Text Dads, one of the country’s most impactful chapter alumni mentorship programs.
